Bacon Wrapped BLT Steak Dogs
ingredients
- 1 package Mauro Provisions Steak Dogs
- 1 lb thin bacon (Oscar Myer is best!)
- 2 cups shredded iceberg lettuce
- 2 roma tomatoes, diced
- 1 package poppy seed buns
- 1 recipe steak dog sauce (see below)
- Mauro Provisions’ Hot Craft Giardiniera
Steak Dog Sauce
- 1 cup mayo
- 1 tablespoons Mauro Provisions BBQ Chip Dust
- 2 tablespoons yellow mustard
*Mix everything in a bowl until smooth and season to taste with salt if necessary.

Directions
- Preheat oven to 400° F.
- In one seamless and slightly overlapping coil, wrap one strip of bacon around the steak dog. Secure with a toothpick and place on a non-stick-sprayed wire rack-lined sheet pan. Repeat with all hot dogs and bake at 400° F until bacon is golden and crispy.
- Schmear inside of bun with steak dog sauce and place hot, bacon-wrapped dog in the bun.
- Top with shredded iceberg lettuce, diced tomatoes, and a couple of forkfuls of hot giardiniera, and serve!
